Privacy policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This English version is provided for convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.
Protecting your data matters to us. Here we explain in plain words which data we process, why we do it and what rights you have.
1. Who is responsible?
The controller responsible for processing your data is: IGS Social Tech UG (haftungsbeschränkt) i. G. Kruppstraße 108, 40227 Düsseldorf Email: [email address] Phone: [phone number]
Data protection officer: [name and contact – if appointed]
2. Overview
We only process personal data to the extent that this is necessary to run this website and the Felix service, or where you have given your consent. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Visiting this website and hosting (Vercel)
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit the website, technical data sent by your browser is processed automatically: IP address, date and time, the page visited, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website securely and reliably.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). We have a data processing agreement with Vercel. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses also apply. Server log data is deleted after a short time.
4. Audience measurement (Vercel Web Analytics)
To understand how our website is used, we use Vercel Web Analytics. No cookies are set and no user profiles are created. Only aggregated, anonymised data is analysed, for example which pages were visited and how often. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Cookies
This website does not set any cookies for advertising or analytics purposes. That is why you don’t see a cookie banner.
6. Booking Felix
When you book Felix, we process: the name of the person being called, their phone number, the preferred time window and how often they should be called, and – if provided – the name and email address of the person making the booking.
We use this data to fulfil the contract, to plan the calls and to contact you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract). If a relative books for another person, that person’s consent is also required; Felix asks for it on the first call.
7. Phone calls and speech processing
Felix is an artificial intelligence. Felix says so at the start of every call. So that Felix can understand you and reply, the conversation is processed automatically during the call: your speech is converted into text, processed by an AI language model, and the reply is converted back into speech.
For this, we use the following service providers as processors: [telephony provider, location], [speech recognition/speech output provider, location], [AI language model provider, location]. Processing takes place on servers in the European Union.
No audio recording of the conversation is stored. What is stored is a written summary and technical data about the call (time, duration, whether the call was answered). No person listens in live.
Information about your health may come up in the conversations, for example about pain or how you are feeling. This is specially protected data. We only process it with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.
8. Passing information on to your home-care service
Felix only passes feedback on to your home-care service if you have agreed to this during the call. Only the content you have approved is passed on, for example: “Mrs Müller would like the carers to come earlier in the morning.” The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).
9. Contact form and email
If you write to us using the contact form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, phone number if provided, and your message) in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract is concerned, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
10. Sending emails (Resend)
To send confirmation emails and to forward enquiries, we use the Resend service (Resend, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA). This involves processing your email address and the content of the email. We have a data processing agreement with Resend; the transfer to the USA is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
11. How long we keep data
We only keep your data for as long as is necessary for the purpose in question. We delete contract data once the contract has ended, unless we are legally required to keep it (for example 6 to 10 years for invoices). We delete call summaries no later than [period] after the call, or immediately if you ask us to.
12. Your rights
You have the following rights at any time:
- Access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (the data protection authority of North Rhine-Westphalia), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
13. Data security
This website uses an encrypted connection (TLS). You can tell by the padlock symbol in your browser. We protect your data with technical and organisational measures.
14. Changes
We update this privacy policy when our service or the law changes. The current version on this page always applies.
